Junior Achievement of Greater Baton Rouge is a for-impact, non-profit organization serving our community by bringing volunteers from the business community into the classroom to teach kindergarten – 12th grade students personal finance, entrepreneurship, business concepts and work-readiness skills.
Junior Achievement’s mission is to inspire and prepare young people to own their economic success.
And investors and volunteers of Junior Achievement tackle the needs of our students to improve the financial education, development of 21st century soft skills, and level of preparedness to enter the workforce successfully, giving them the best opportunity to create economic success.
In addition, these programs are funded by businesses and individuals, where classroom volunteers make economic concepts relevant, fuel the entrepreneurial spirit, challenge the students to excel while emphasizing the relevance of educational attainment.
JA’s unique delivery system provides the training, materials, and support necessary to ensure a positive experience. Our materials include curriculum for elementary, middle and high school students.
